Human Sexuality Instruction and Committee

The Human Sexuality Committee ensures compliance with curriculum guidelines and reviews materials related to human sexuality education. The committee is a diverse group including parents, educators, and administrators. In accordance with district policy (I-12 III A), each year a list of the committee members of the Human Sexuality Committee is submitted for review and approval. The number of parents is [equal or greater] than the number of district employees.

The Human Sexuality Curriculum Committee meetings have been designated as open meetings, and agendas, recordings, and minutes are posted on the Utah Public Notice website as per state requirements.

Human Sexuality Committee Meetings (2025-2026)

All, in-person, Human Sexuality Committee Meetings for SLCSD held during the 2025-2026 school year will be held at the Salt Lake City School District Office (4:00-5:00 PM) on the following dates:

  • Thursday, October 23, 2025 (in-person)
  • Thursday, January 22, 2026 (via TEAMS)
  • Thursday, March 19, 2026 (via TEAMS: Link will be given 24 hours before meeting)
  • Thursday, April 16, 2026 (in-person)
    • Confirmation of 2026-2027 committee members and Review of USBE Assurances from 2025-2026
  • Thursday, May 14, 2026 (via TEAMS: Link will be given 24 hours before meeting) - ONLY IF NEEDED

The Zoom link will be published on this website the day of the meeting for all meetings scheduled on ZOOM.
