  • The Salt Lake City School District had 23,919 students enrolled in its regular day school programs.
  • 183 students were being home schooled.
  • 54% were minority (other than Caucasian).
  • 98 languages were spoken by the students who attended our schools.

  • The Salt Lake City School District has 1,458 teachers, counselors, library/media specialists and other certified personnel.
  • The first step of our teacher’s salary schedule is $37,280. The average compensation for new teachers hired by our district is $44,095.

  • Academic coaches work with teachers in classrooms to improve instruction and increase student achievement.
