Salt Lake City School District is your best choice because we focus on one goal, one purpose - student learning. We believe that education should be an adventure in which every child is thrilled to learn and has access to a rich array of possibilities. Not every child learns the same way, so we foster learning environments that challenge and engage students to develop their innate talents, abilities, and interests to the fullest.
We have programs and services to assist all students and families. In our district you will find traditional schools and programs, year-round schools, K-8 schools, charter schools, academies, language immersion programs, and much more. Our teachers are highly qualified, professionally trained, and coached in the use of successful and proven teaching strategies.
We believe every child can learn and that all parents want their children to succeed. By offering a wide array of programs and services, we strive to the meet the needs of every child and offer a variety of choices to every parent.

Transportation
Students and families who choose to attend schools outside of their neighborhood boundaries are responsible for their own transportation needs. District buses are typically not provided. However, students and families may be able to utilize public transportation. A map of public bus routes is available on the Utah Transit Authority website (link opens in a new browser window).
